Greetings from Tennessee!

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to post a quick note to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kristina and I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, USA. I just graduated with a PhD in Nursing 3 weeks ago and received a copy of Lace Style as a graduation gift. Oh joy! I've been knitting lace for 1 1/2 years now and am totally addicted, so this is a wonderful gift.

I'm still contemplating which project to knit first, but am drawn to the lace anklets, the Hepburn cardigan, and the lily of the valley stole. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I cast-on as I'm knitting a lace Pi shawl at present (plus a bunch of other things, of course :-) but I'm getting inspired by everyone's posts and pictures so that helps. Thanks for welcoming me to this group. I have a blog where I try to keep track of what I'm knitting, so feel free to take a peek if you are interested. Otherwise, I'll let you know when I decide which project to start first.

Congrats on your nursing degree, I am a LPN, almost a RN, & I know how hard you worked to get to graduation day! Way to go! I think lace is a great way to relax, because you need to focus on the knitting & put aside the "joys" of your work. Relax & knit, you have earned it! Mary A
